Meet the speakers

Bethany Woods
Senior Food Contact Compliance Manager, BASF Corp.

Bethany is a collaborative leader in consumer product safety with a niche in food compliance. She brings her experience from multiple touchpoints throughout the value chain, from the raw material supplier to the brand owner.  At BASF, Bethany ensures compliance with food contact for the dispersions and resins business, developing and implementing tools to merge regulatory compliance with business needs and securing long-term profitability.

Bethany earned her undergraduate degree in chemistry and marketing at Clemson University and her MBA at Strayer University. She is a member of our Food Safety Alliance for Packaging technical committee.


Kim Sheehy
Program Manager, Packaging, Global Scientific & Regulatory Affairs, Mars Wrigley

Kim Sheehy is an experienced regulatory affairs professional focused on food contact materials. She monitors global food contact regulations and ensures compliance for innovative packaging projects that enable sustainability. Previously, Kim was the subject matter expert in global food contact regulatory compliance at McCormick & Company, gaining experience as a consultant delivering global food contact regulatory compliance strategies and risk mitigation solutions for clients across the supply chain.

Kim earned her undergraduate degree in biology from Monmouth College and obtained her master’s degree in Biochemistry from Northern Illinois University. She serves on the executive board of our Food Safety Alliance for Packaging technical committee
